DESCRIPTION:The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows high-need schools to offer all students school meals at no charge. CEP adoption has grown tremendously over the last decade\, with more than 47\,000 schools participating in the 2023-2024 school year. \ CEP is a win-win-win for children\, families\, and schools. By offering all students meals at no cost\, CEP reduces stigma and increases participation in school breakfast and lunch. By increasing children’s access to healthy food at school\, CEP supports household food budgets. By eliminating meal debt and reducing administrative burdens\, CEP supports school food service operations.
