KidWind is excited to be bringing a wind energy workshop for educators to Clovis, NM. Join us and learn how to explore the power of wind with your students.

Come to this workshop to learn about the science and technology around wind turbines and blade design. The energy-based content combined with practical standards connected classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom.

What can you expect?

  • This is a FREE Training!
  • Materials are geared towards middle school and high school teachers.
  • We will explore lessons around wind energy, wind turbines, blade design and wind farm siting.
  • Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of wind energy. They will learn about how wind power works and how to implement activities in your classroom.
  • Preservice teachers are also invited!

We will be providing a light breakfast and full lunch! We will also be holding a wind farm tour and a happy hour for all interested educators after the event (3-6PM)

All participants that attend the workshop will receive a certificate after completion of the workshop.
