National STEM Literacy program -“Leap into Science” arrives in New Mexico
The Las Cruces Museums, the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science,  and the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council are teaming up to bring “Leap into Science” to New Mexico. “Leap Into Science” provides training, curriculum, and resources to support literacy and STEM education across the state through partnerships with informal institutions such as museums, libraries, out-of-school time organizations.

“Leap into Science” originated in 2007 through a partnership between The Franklin Institute and the Free Library of Philadelphia, with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
