The Supercomputing Challenge (the Challenge) is conducting our 2018-19 Kickoff Event at New Mexico Tech October 13 & 14, 2018. The Challenge is a school year-long competition for New Mexico middle and high school students conducting original, project based research employing mathematics and computers to model real world phenomena. At the Kickoff event we will be offering classes in computational science techniques. Penn State University defines computational science as "the use of computers, networks, storage devices, software and algorithms to build things or create new knowledge."
