Science Action Club: Building STEM Identities through Citizen Science

Science Action Club: Building STEM Identities through Citizen Science - Wednesday, May 30, 2018 @ 1pm

Join the California Academy of Sciences and National Girls Collaborative (NGC) on our Science Action Club(SAC) Partnership Showcase. SAC is a nationwide STEM program for middle school youth in out-of-school time. Through hands-on games and projects, youth in SAC investigate their local environment and use citizen science to document discoveries, share data, and design strategies to protect our planet. NGC has partnered with California Academy of Sciences to reach youth around the nation with this high quality citizen science experience. You will hear from the Science Action Club team as well as the trainers and activity leaders who have participated in the project. You will also learn how you can be involved with Science Action Club.
