An annual, multi-session opportunity for out-of-school time professionals to come together for learning, connecting, and sharing. The goal is to build a strong network of OST experts throughout the state to lift up OST programs across New Mexico.

Women remain underrepresented in the STEM professions and there is a need to close the gender gap and inspire the next generation of female innovators and leaders.

New Mexico ranks the highest amongst all other states in the US in terms of children who are food insecure. Out-of-School Time programs have the opportunity to fill the nutrition gap for hungry children in New Mexico.

By mapping locations of afterschool and summer programs against a backdrop of indicators like poverty, juvenile justice referrals, educational attainment, and child abuse, NMOST seeks to show where afterschool options exist, and where there are most needed in the state.

The New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST) works with regional and national partners to provide resources, make connections and support programs that promote an entrepreneurial mindset and foster entrepreneurship skills in children and youth outside the traditional school day

Local, state, and federal officials have a vested interest in understanding the existing services in their area of influence. Inviting policymakers to visit your program allows them to see the work that you are doing and enables them to connect to it and better advocate for it

Out-of-School Time (OST) can play a critical role in preparing children and youth for their future careers by helping them to build foundational skills like communication, teamwork, and critical thinking.
