A Deep Dive into the Community Eligibility Provision (Virtual)

March 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows high-need schools to offer all students school meals at no charge. CEP reduces barriers to school meal participation, eases the administrative and operational burdens faced by school nutrition departments, and is an effective tool in the fight against childhood hunger. In the 2023-2024 school year, one out of every two schools that operated the National School Lunch Program used CEP to offer free school meals to all students. Join the Food Research & Action Center as we do a deep dive into community eligibility, exploring CEP’s history, regulations, and the benefits free school meals bring to students and schools.
