NM Science Teachers’ Association Fall Conference

Registration is open for educators for the 2023 Fall Conference, October 21 in Farmington.

Cost: $75 for members until October 1

Presentations: NMSTA is still soliciting proposals for the conference. They have a grant from Sandia Labs to pay a $400 stipend to 15 teacher-presenters who agree to model their presentations after best practices for professional learning. Details are on the conference page.

Reimbursements and scholarships:
1. The Math & Science Bureau of the PED will provide a $175 reimbursement/stipend to qualified public school teachers.
2. If you are a MESA sponsor, please talk to your regional director for details on how to register at no cost to you.
3. Others -NMSTA is working on sponsorships to reimburse your out-of pocket expenses.

Schedule:
Friday starting at 6:00 pm – reception, planetarium show and star gazing
Saturday starting at 8:00 am – registration, breakfast buffet, keynote speaker, 5 1-hour sessions, lunch
Saturday starting at 4:00 pm – share fair and reimbursements
Sunday morning – choice of local field trips
