CACFP 101 for Afterschool Programs with Loren Miller, Bureau Chief – Family Nutrition Bureau
Join the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) for a workshop about how out-of-school time programs can address food insecurity. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture as one of their Child Nutrition Programs, and these funds are available to help feed children in afterschool programs. This presentation will explain the expectations and application process to participate in CACFP and outline the benefits and reimbursement rates that are available for afterschool programs.
